The Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine Division’s Asthma Center is a specialized, co-directed program that brings together pulmonary medicine and allergy and immunology specialists. The Center provides access to all advanced diagnostics and therapies needed to manage even the most complex asthma cases through personalized treatment plans, optimization of inhaler use and coordinated follow-up care.

The Bronchiectasis Center is a specialized program, jointly led and staffed by pulmonary and infectious disease experts, that provides advanced, coordinated care for people with bronchiectasis and nontuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) lung infections. The Center combines deep subspecialty expertise in complex airway and mycobacterial disease with infectious disease perspectives to deliver comprehensive evaluation, individualized treatment plans and ongoing management for these challenging chronic conditions.

Drawing on advanced diagnostic tools and the latest evidence-based therapies, the Cough Center focuses on improving comfort, daily functioning and overall quality of life for individuals whose cough has not improved with standard care. Our world-renowned cough experts offer in-depth evaluations to uncover the underlying causes of persistent cough and design personalized treatment plans tailored to each person’s symptoms and medical history.

As one of the largest and most advanced interventional pulmonary programs in the nation and an international destination for robotic bronchoscopy, our world-renowned team offers comprehensive expertise in lung nodule evaluation, advanced bronchoscopy, lung biopsies, lung cancer management and pleural disease treatment, working closely with Thoracic Surgery, Oncology and Radiation Oncology to deliver truly multidisciplinary care.

If surgery is recommended as part of your care plan, we’ll also coordinate scheduling with our world-renowned surgeons at one of the many locations within our health system.

The Pulmonary Function Laboratory at Montefiore Einstein Advanced Care plays a central role in identifying the cause of symptoms like shortness of breath by offering a full range of advanced diagnostics that help your care team evaluate breathing concerns, monitor chronic lung conditions and track how well therapies are working over time.

Montefiore Einstein provides specialized, evidence-based care for people living with pulmonary hypertension, a serious condition that affects blood flow between the heart and lungs. Our Program offers access to innovative therapies, tailoring treatment plans to each person’s diagnosis, symptoms and goals. Our pulmonary experts work in close partnership with cardiology colleagues in a multidisciplinary setting, ensuring that complex heart–lung interactions are carefully evaluated and managed. By combining advanced treatments with coordinated, team-based care, the Pulmonary Hypertension Center focuses on improving symptoms, protecting heart and lung function and enhancing quality of life.
