Our Services
Montefiore Einstein’s Heart Center brings comprehensive cardiac care to Westchester patients who are at risk of or have heart or vascular disease. State-of-the-art, noninvasive imaging technologies support our board-certified cardiologists, who specialize in atherosclerosis (narrowing of the arteries), valvular heart disease, abnormal heart rhythms and heart failure.
Best-in-class 3D ultrasound imaging assists our physicians in precisely examining the heart muscle, heart valves, arteries and veins. We can immediately and securely share patients’ results with specialists across the Montefiore Health System, including cardiovascular physicians, surgeons and radiologists who subspecialize in cardiac imaging.
Our sophisticated nuclear camera with computed tomography (CT) subsystem produces sharper images and emits less radiation than older models. The system can also calculate a patient’s calcium score, a major consideration in assessing cardiac risk.
Our diagnostic services include the new generation of external and implantable heart monitoring devices, which allow our specialists to remotely monitor patients with suspected abnormal heart rhythms. The results help our physicians determine the most appropriate treatment options as they develop precision care plans for each patient’s unique needs.
